No Cost Problem Gambling Counseling in Maine
Did you know that anyone in Maine who is concerned about problem gambling can receive no‑cost, confidential counseling?
Through Maine’s Gambling Addiction Treatment Network, individuals affected by gambling—both those who gamble and loved ones who are concerned about someone else’s gambling—are eligible for four free counseling sessions.
If ongoing counseling is recommended after the initial four sessions and cost is a barrier, treatment can continue at no charge through the network.
Counseling services are provided by Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors (LCPCs) who have completed specialized training in problem gambling and participate in a statewide referral network.
